Peter Zwicker is a professional photographer based in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada.  

Photography is a medium upon that permits Peter to reflect on the world as he sees it. For Peter Zwicker passion and photography go hand in hand. Like a lot of people, Peter started his photographic journey with family, travel and other life milestones. It has only been in later life that Peter had the time and passion to pursue photography on a serious level.  

The name Bacalao is the Portuguese term for codfish and from the fishery from which his family was involved in for over 200 years.

To say that Peter is obsessive about photography may be an understatement; he likes to refer to it as a healthy passion. 

If you follow Peter on social media you will notice that all images are titled after music which has played a large part of his life.

Peter has been published locally, regionally and internationally and known 
for his pictorials of Nova Scotia. He has been published in the National Geographic book of UNESCO Canada, captured  the images for a  book on the famed Bluenose and  a book on the history of Black Loyalists in Nova Scotia.

Operating under the name Bacalao Photo, he does commercial and real estate photography, however his passion is landscape and marine scenery.
